2016 Ice Cream Social

The 2016 Ice Cream Social/Auction to benefit the RBS Heritage Museum was held Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the dining room of the Armour’s Hotel.  Vision 2020 Inc is very grateful to all those who participated through donations, volunteering their services and participating in the evening’s festivities. The evening raised more than $3,000 to help fund the restoration of the historic Red Boiling Spring Bank building.  After the restoration is finished, the building will be used to house the Heritage Museum.

The evening began with the "All You Can Eat Ice Cream Tasting Contest".

With 18 flavors to choose from ice cream eaters from around the town çhose, Samantha Hardinas the “2016 Ice Cream Boss” with Cherry Ice Cream. Coming in a close 2nd was Belva Cowan Davis with Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and 3rd was Laura Merlo with Lemon Cheesecake.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Kinship was unable to perform but the evening’s entertainment went on as Ben Bray of Ben Bray Real Estate and Auction took our silent auction live.  Seventy-two items were up for bid by a packed house of supporters.
